The Working Group and Volunteer Coordinator

The APIRG Working Group Coordinator is one of several APIRG staff, and is the main contact person at APIRG for Working Group members, and for individuals seeking involvement in Working Groups (see below for contact information). The Working Group Coordinator also acts as a liaison between the APIRG board and the Working Groups and as the coordinator for all volunteer at APIRG

The Working Group Coordinator is responsible for the following:

  1. Coordinating the Working Group funding rounds and follow up.
  2. Maintaining relevant Working Group files and membership info.
  3. Coordinating the Working Group and volunteer Orientation Meetings.
  4. Responding to the needs and requests of established Working Groups, and to requests for information about Working Groups.
  5. Organizing training sessions, workshops and special events related to, or requested by Working Groups.
  6. Liaising with the APIRG Board on behalf of the Working Groups.
  7. Facilitating communication and networking between Working Groups.
  8. Assisting in the set up of websites, web pages and email accounts for Working Groups.
  9. Assisting Working Groups with promotion and recruiting members.
