The Working Group Coordinator

The APIRG Working Group Coordinator is one of several APIRG staff, and is the main contact person at APIRG for Working Group members, and for individuals seeking involvement in Working Groups (see below for contact information). The Working Group Coordinator also acts as a liaison between the APIRG board and the Working Groups.

The Working Group Coordinator is responsible for the following:

  1. Coordinating the WG funding rounds once per term.
  2. Maintaining and updating all relevant WG files and accounts on the computer, website and filing cabinets.
  3. Working with the APIRG financial coordinator to maintain WG finances
  4. Coordinating (once per term) the WG Orientation Meeting
  5. Ensuring that WGs are fulfilling the WG Agreement and Terms of Reference, including regular correspondence and updates.
  6. Responding to the needs and requests of established WGs, and requests for information about WGs.
  7. Organizing any training sessions, presentations, workshops or special events related to or requested by WGs.
  8. Liaising between the APIRG Board and the WGs (ppresenting WG updates at board meetings, etc), and facilitating communication between WGs.
  9. Updating and maintaining WG contact info, membership lists, and active status.
  10. Assisting in the set up of websites, web pages and email accounts for WGs.
  11. Assisting WGs with the creation of promotional materials.
