RAWG - Radio Accessibility Working Group
We are a volunteer group of concerned citizens with all levels of hearing dedicated to
- transforming radio into an accessible medium
- representing the interests of the deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing in radio
All Canadians deserve equal access to broadcast media, and as the technologies that deliver broadcast media content converge the corresponding new possibilities for radio accessibility must be explored.
We're here to do the exploring.
Our activities include production of accessible radio, (through captioning, transcribing, and ASL interpreting), lobbying, mediation, and knowledge distribution of issues surrounding the accessibility of broadcast radio content.
