WHO ARE WE?
The Campus Community for Public Health Care (CCPH) is composed of University of Alberta students, faculty and staff who seek to raise public awareness of and support for maintaining and improving the public health care system. We question why the majority of Canadians, including Albertans, want a public health care system and yet our governments are taking steps towards privatization.
We can be reached by email at ccph@apirg.org
or leave us a message at 780-492-0614
Our Goals
Every reputable study done on the issue confirms our view that public healthcare is superior to private alternatives. Because we have the stronger case, our strategy in general is to raise public consciousness of the Alberta government's privatization efforts and encourage people to become involved.
Membership in CCPH is open to anyone who is a supporter of public healthcare and who would like to get involved in protecting and enhancing it. Our steering committee meetings are open to the public and members are encouraged to participate.
