Why don't we all just shut up about HIV/AIDS?
This time, your silence can make a difference.
Over 25 million people have died of AIDS worldwide. At this point, a minute of silence just isn't enough.
Take the 25 hour vow of silence on October 20th and 21st, in memory of those we have lost. Sign-up at www.speaksilence.com and join thousands of others around the world 9paying tribute to victims of HIV/AIDS.
Sign up and take pledges and involve your friends and family in this important cause, with your help, JHR will continue to increase HIV/AIDS reporting and education, and help to put an end to this crisis.

Women's Centre Collective
The U of A Women's Centre is always looking for volunteers to help us keep the Centre running smoothly and offer the best possible services to the campus community.
Visit us in 4-16 SUB or at the WCC webpage to volunteer or for more information.
Here are some projects we have on the go:
We are currently looking for an archivist as well as people to help with publicity in the upcoming year.
The Dino Distro is starting up meetings this year to discuss ordering zines, structuring the distro, and setting up a creative collective for zine production. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to attend our meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 3:30-5 at the Women's Centre. If you are interested, but unable to attend, please contact . Meetings may be rescheduled if enough people make requests.
Voices for Choices aims to organise and facilitate various pro-choice rallies and education in our communities. For more information or to help organise contact .
You can also start your own project or working group. If you’re thinking of starting your own project and want to see if we would support it, or if you just need a sounding board, come talk to us.
You don’t need to have detailed knowledge about women’s issues or feminism to volunteer with the Women's Centre -- we’re committed to helping volunteers acquire the skills they need as they go along, so the only requirement is a willingness to learn and grow.
